… Andy Paul Sanchez Foundation. It is called THE A.P.S.FOUNDATION – LINKS TO EDUCATION. The phrase Links to Education refers to one of Andy’s favorite pastimes – playing golf with 100 of his friends to raise money for the kids. The Foundation continues Andy’s tradition and will benefit eligible students of the Sweetwater Union High School District.
From the monies raised by the Foundation, scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated the drive to continue their education and participation in sports. The idea of this foundation was inspired by Andy’s lifetime example of giving to those for whom he cared the most – his students. His family and friends wanted to keep Andy’s spirit alive and have brought you Links to Education.
The next fund raiser will be held on Andy’s birthday – August 14, 2011. More information will follow on this website along with contact information. On behalf of Andy’s family and friends, everyone is encouraged to join them in making the Andy Paul Sanchez Golf fundraiser a success for the future of “Andy’s at risk Students”.
