“Work hard and good things happen.”
-Andy Paul Sanchez
The Andy Paul Sanchez Foundation (APS) is proud to announce a high school senior scholarship award to recognize outstanding students for their dedication to academic excellence, athletic accomplishments, school activities, and community service. The scholarship is named for Andy Paul Sanchez, who was a life-long learner, educator, and athletic coach for 35 years in the Sweetwater Union High School District. This high school senior scholarship will preserve the vision Andy Paul Sanchez had during his lifetime. His vision was to keep high school students in school: build capacity for excellence in his high school students; foster a legacy of character and attitude in his athletes; and cultivate a pride and personal responsibility among his students. The mission of the APS Foundation is to support the financial need for high school seniors by providing scholarships that will encourage high school seniors to reach their post-educational goals, career dreams, and make a positive contribute to society.
